What are the Timelines for Building Your New Home?
Once you have received your building permits you will be able to get the building process started on your new home.
The complexity of your project will determine how long the building of your new home will take, it can vary anywhere from 3 - 12 months on average. If you choose to be an Owner/Builder, you get to choose the licensed contractors for your project that you don't want to do. As the acting General Contractor. You will be responsible for the success of your project.
Your Premier Home Kits representative can help you with contractor referrals if you choose to be an Owner/Builders. If you are the Owner/Builders you are not required to work exclusively with contractors from the Premier Home Kits contractor's referral list if you have someone else you would prefer to use. During the building process is when Premier Home Kits will be most valuable in helping Owner/Builders. Premier Home Kits is always available to help with questions you may have on your project. While the construction phases is happening you should take pictures showing the progress of your home build. We recommend this for two reasons. First, you will have a picture of the construction process a picture of where all the utilities are located in your home. This can be especially helpful to make sure you don't put a nail or screw into any plumbing, gas lines or electrical cables that are behind the sheet rock when hanging a pictures or cabinets on the wall.
